Angel Of Mercy Testimonial (PDF)

ANGEL OF MERCY
OVC COMMUNITY CHILD HEALTH PROJECT,
NGOMBE COMPOUND PLOT 24/10,
Box 50361,
LUSAKA.

19th February 2015

Attention: To Whom It May Concern,

Dear Sir / Madam,

RE: ANGEL OF MERCY PARTERSHIP WITH COMMUNITY WITHOUT BORDERS.

With reference to the above;

Angel of Mercy is a community based Non-Governmental Organization, (NGO) in Zambia, Africa currently working within the Ngombe Compound, one of the Peri-Urban communities. The organization assists in providing healthcare services for both orphans and vulnerable children who previously had no direct access to basic healthcare needs. Additionally, Angel of Mercy bridges the gap between the school’s healthcare providers and quality healthcare services by offering them closer to the student’s households within the compound.

During the time in which Angel of Mercy worked within the compound’s community schools there was a notable increase diagnosis of both Bilharzia and Urinary Tract Infections among the children. In order to immediately address these serious healthcare concerns the organization worked in partnership with both, Lusaka District Health Office through Ngombe Health Centre and CWB (USA). By collaborating with the aforementioned supporting entities the infections were brought under control and educational prevention measures put in place to reduce future outbreaks.

The above is merely one example of the positive impact Angel of Mercy has had within the local communities. Therefore, I both support and recommend the organization be sustained in their efforts to help the needy communities beyond USA.

Yours Faithfully,

Anna Mhango
Project Manager.

News from Sekelela

To reduce crowding during the June-through-August term, schools in Zambia were open only for students in grades 7, 9, and 12, who were preparing for exams. They will start writing their exams next week. CWB recently repaired and added desks at the Sekelela Community School, making it possible for students to maintain a safe distance. […]

Soft Lockdown in Zambia

ZOCS (Zambia Open Community Schools), our partner in assisting the Sekelela School, notified us that Zambia was closing all schools and colleges and ending public gatherings as of March 20. We asked our contacts at the school to give us some news about their situation. The head teacher at Sekelela School, Always Kaumbi, told us […]
